Our Focus – ease the transition from Primary School to Secondary School Math.
The Sec 1 Math Challenge
The biggest challenge in Secondary One is the shift in mathematical approach — moving from the heuristics-based, step-by-step methods of Primary Math to the logical, abstract thinking required in secondary school. Many students initially struggle with representing answers clearly and justifying their workings, which are critical skills in Sec 1 assessments.
How Mathletes Helps
Our Secondary One curriculum is designed to ease students into this transition. We place strong emphasis on developing logical reasoning, abstract problem-solving, and the ability to explain solutions methodically. At the same time, we continue to consolidate mastery of key foundational topics, including numbers, rates, ratios, speed, patterns, geometry, and basic mensuration, ensuring students build both confidence and competence in mathematics.

Our Sec 1 Math (G3) Syllabus
At Mathletes, our Secondary One programme closely follows the MOE syllabus, covering all chapters in the official Sec 1 mathematics textbooks. While ensuring complete coverage of the curriculum, we also allocate ample time for test and exam preparation using our reflective learning Mathletes Model.
