Our Story
“We don’t know what we don’t know.”
Many students struggle in Math not because they lack ability, but because they are blind to their own weaknesses. Without recognising these gaps, they cannot improve — and that’s often why the elusive A remains out of reach.
Research shows that reflective learning — the ability to identify strengths, weaknesses, and strategies — is especially powerful in Mathematics, where mastery requires both practice and adaptability. Yet, over years of teaching, we observed that this essential skill is rarely taught. Reflection doesn’t happen by chance. It needs a proper framework, deliberate coaching, and most importantly, a small class size where every student receives personalised attention.
This is why Mathletes Education was founded: to give secondary school students more than just tuition. We mentor, coach, and equip our learners with reflective tools, enabling them to approach Math with clarity, strategy, and confidence.
The name Mathletes reflects our belief that learning Math is much like training as an athlete. Athletes succeed through discipline, guidance, and consistent practice — and so do students. At Mathletes education, students are not just taught; they are trained, guided, and empowered to grow step by step, building both skill and confidence.
Our Values

Learning should be
- Reflective – students should be aware of their strengths and areas for improvements.
- Focused – practice should be targeted to strengthen key concepts.
- Disciplined – students should put in consistent effort and structured routines drive mastery.
- Resilient – students should persist through difficulties and embrace growth.
- Strategic – students should learn to approach problems thoughtfully and with purpose.
- Supportive – teachers should provide guided mentorship to students, aiding them to achieve their personal bests.
Our Mission
At Mathletes Education, we believe that every student can excel in mathematics with the right guidance, support, and strategies.
Our mission is to help students unlock their potential, build confidence, and achieve consistent success in math.
Meet Our Founder

Ms Yeo Lihui was an MOE Teaching Scholar, who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics (Hons) from NUS and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education.
She has more than 14 years of combined teaching experience in Secondary schools and The Learning Lab.
Her commitment to inspiring and motivating students was recognised when she was voted by her school students as an Inspiring Educator.
