The Mathletes model — shaped by our core values — centres on effective learning.
We structure and conduct lessons to promote reflective and focused teaching and learning of Math.
Each regular lesson is conducted based on specific topic-related learning objectives. We use classwork and homework to assess students’ understanding of each objective on a regular basis and provide timely feedback on strengths and areas for improvement.
We use specially curated materials, including our in-house diagnostics checklist, to facilitate our Mathletes reflective learning model.
Our Materials
Materials for each topic includes Topical Notes, Tiered Practices and Quizzes and our uniquely created assessment diagnostics – theTraining Checklist.
- Training Checklist details the key concepts and question types per chapter. This is filled out together with students to monitor their mastery of key concepts, track areas for improvement, and celebrate progress. It helps students take ownership of their learning journey while allowing us to give precise, targeted support.
- Topical Notes consists of examples, let’s try and summaries. They form the core of our regular lessons.
- Practices after each subtopic are tiered into three levels of difficulty. This allows differentiated learning and encourages students to strive towards true content mastery.
- Quizzes after subtopic are tiered into three levels of difficulty. They are used for chapter reviews and test preparation.
