Ms Yeo was an amazing mathematics teacher!
Under her tutelage, I maintained my A grade throughout secondary school despite the increasingly challenging syllabus. Instead of rote practice, Ms Yeo focused on getting us to grasp underlying concepts; this was key to helping me tackle the unconventional but creative questions that is commonplace in my school’s tests and examinations.
Additionally, as a student who chose to pursue the humanities course of education in upper secondary and junior college rather than the conventional STEM route, I must remark that my continued passion for mathematics was very much cultivated during my years under Ms Yeo’s guidance.
The spark of interest she lighted in me played a role in my culminating decision to study H3 mathematics in my second year of junior college.
Furthermore, Ms Yeo is certainly also a tutor who goes above and beyond to foster a friendly and supportive class culture, celebrating our birthdays with special treats and sending us off with a special, commemorative souvenir when we graduated.
Her class was verily the most enjoyable experience I have had at any private tuition.
